Info
Big G Software offers two versions of Football Stats Software. This version is
designed to keep stats on a play by play basis. You may enter data "live"
during the game, or after the game from data sheets printed by the program.
Since many coaches do not want to enter data play by play, Big G also offers an
"After the Game" version in which you enter summary data such as Joe had 5
carries for 45 yards. Click here

This version of Football Stats is a program of unlimited capacity which runs under Windows
95 or later. You may keep stats for an unlimited number of leagues, teams, players
and seasons.
During the game, you may print a Game Summary Report and/or a Drive Report at
any time. You may get reports at the end of each quarter as well as at the end of
the game.
You may keep stats for your opponent as well as for your team. If you
enter a roster for your opponent, their player names will appear on reports. If a
roster is not present, only jersey numbers will appear on the reports. Reports for
your team include current game, season and conference stats. Only current game stats
are reported for your opponent.
The program contains an extensive help file and a Microsoft Word 97 document
which produces a printed manual.
When using the program, the following sequence of events is followed:
- Erase The Sample Data -- The program is shipped with sample data so
that you may experiment with the various features and reports without having to enter your
own test data. After experimentation is complete, and you have a feel for the way
the program works, you should erase the sample data before beginning to enter your own
data. Sample data is erased by selecting "Delete All Stats and Start Over"
from the Utilities Menu.
- Set Up One or More Leagues -- Each team must be assigned to a league,
so before setting up teams you must set up a league. Select "Enter or Edit
League Info" from the File Menu.
- Set Up One or More Teams -- Each team is assigned to a league.
Select "Enter or Edit Team Info" from the File Menu.
- Set Up One or More Seasons -- All data entry is matched to a season.
Select "Enter or Edit Season Info" from the File Menu.
- Enter Player Names Into the File -- Player names are not entered
directly into the roster. Since this is a multi season program, a player may play on
your team for several seasons. The player file contains the players name and address
information. Select "Enter or Edit Player Names" from the File Menu.
- Set Up a Roster for Each Team for Each Season -- Players from the
player file are assigned to a roster each season. The roster also includes jersey
number, class, position, etc. Select "Enter or Edit Roster" from the File
Menu.
- Set Up a Schedule for Each Team for Each Season -- The schedule is
optional. It does not interact with the program in any way. It is included as
a convenience for you to be able to print a schedule from the program. Select
"Enter or Edit Schedule" from the File Menu.
- Print a Data Entry Sheet -- If you are not using the program
"live" during the game, the data entry sheet will allow you to keep stats on
paper for later entry into the computer. Select "Data Entry Sheet" from
the Reports Menu.
- Enter Game Stats -- You will enter your stats play by play for both
your team and your opponent. You may print a Game Summary Report or a Drive Report
during the game to get end of quarter info for radio or announcers. Select
"Enter Game Stats" from the File Menu.
- Edit Game Data -- You may edit any data previously entered.
Simply select the game to be edited and make corrections in the same manner as you entered
the original data.
Reports available include game, season and conference stats for your team and
game stats for your opponent. Reports may be sent to the printer, screen, text file
on disk, or HTML file on disk. The following reports are available from the program
(click on the menu at left to view sample reports):
- Season Summary Report -- Lists all games played to date for one season,
along with scores and home/away column. Also summarizes games won & lost and
total and average points scored by your team and opponents by season, conf, non-conf,
home, away, and neutral site.
- Game Summary -- Available at any time during the game as well as after
the game. Gives Team Passing, Rushing, and Total Offense -- Leading Rushers,
Passers, Receivers and Defenders for both your team and your opponent.

the game. Lists each possession for both you and your opponent along with starting

All Plays, Rushing Plays, Passing Plays or Kicking Plays. You may choose to print
plays for your team, your opponent or both.

play names using your own terminology. These reports list each play along with stats
regarding that play for game, season and conference.
