What's New at Big G Software

Big G's most recent project was to upgrade all software to the latest version of Visual FoxPro, which is the programming Database (Language) used to write all Big G Software. That project has been completed, with all software now converted to the new database. The significance of this upgrade is that upgraded versions now have the following significant new features:

New software no longer runs on Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.11. The upgrades will require Windows 95 or Later.
The upgrades are free and available for download from my web site. Keep an eye on the web site for announcements of upgrades.
Software requires less memory (RAM) to operate. If you have a version which does not run on some computers, be sure to upgrade to the new version(s).
Data Backup and Restore functions are now available from the Utility Menu of the software. You may back up your data to a diskette with the click of a mouse.
Database Re-indexing and Repair functions are also available from the Utility Menu. If your files get damaged, the best solution is to restore your current backup. If you do not have a current backup, these repair utilities can sometimes save your data. They are not a substitute for regular and current backups!

Big G has discontinued all Macintosh programs. My Mac programs were written for the original Macintosh computer -- using the Motorola 68000 series of chips. This software does not run on the newer Macs. So, in order to eliminate returned software and disappointed Mac customers, Mac software has been discontinued.

Big G has converted all programs to the Windows format. These programs will operate only on the Windows 95 or later platforms. All programs have all the Windows operating features, and are unlimited in scope.

You may keep stats for an unlimited number of Leagues, Teams, Players, and Seasons.
You may keep career stats for your players and track a player from his or her freshman season all the way through his or her senior season.
You may keep cumulative team stats for your team for an unlimited number of seasons.
You may keep stats for boys and girls teams, varsity, JV and freshman teams.
If you have a need to keep stats for all teams in a league, you can do that also.
Sample reports for each program are posted on this web site, as are screen shots to give you an idea of data entry and utility screens.

If you are still using one of my DOS or Mac programs, you may send back the original disk and upgrade to the Windows version for half price.
